I am an artist working with glass to create abstract works that are conceived by ideas based on Christian morals and human nature. My work is highlighted by the transparency of glass as a medium to propel light through it’s innate qualities to create a lifelike existence for the viewer. By cutting up glass vessels, I deconstruct the material into fragments that are then grinded and polished to reconfigure an artwork in an act of reconstructing itself. By taking a simple material and playing with the fragment parts, I am reconceiving the original purpose of functionality into ideas of divine and human beauty with an art deco influence.
